Waste management in the Caribbean

On 3 July, the change-over to the FABER-AMBRA® system on the landfill site in St. Maarten (French part of the island) began. Our French consolidated company VERDE is the operator of the landfill site on the Caribbean island. Therewith and with the involvement of local companies and staff members we aim at making a substantial contribution to the preservation of the beauty of nature of this tropical holiday paradise.
The mayor hopes to get a signal effect for the other Caribbean islands as well.

Training is executed on the landfill site within the scope of 4 modules which will take a total of several months. The staff members will be trained on site both theoretically and practically under the direction of graduate engineer Mr. Ehrhardt in order to be enabled to organize the landfill operation themselves with a modern waste treatment system.
