Faber also taking active part in Chile

A pilot project will take the company Faber also to Chile this year. After gaining already experiences in Middle and South-America with projects in Mexico and Brazil, the acquired know-how will also be deployed in Chile.

The contract for the pilot project was signed on the 07. March 2008 by Faber Recycling GmbH, Faber Serviço Ltda, the city of Villa Alemana (at the center of Chile) and the GTZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit). The range of the co-operation between the four partners will be waste management, landfill technology and mechanical-biological treatment, particularly regarding the Faber-Ambra® system, which was developed and patented by Faber.

Due to the manifold experiences and expertise of the four contracting parties, the reorientation of Villa Alemana´s existing waste management system will take place especially rapid and efficient, true to the motto of Chile “Por la Razón o la Fuerza” (by reason or by strength). This project will enable Faber to establish a second string in the South American market and hence diverse development possibilities within Chile.
