São Sebastião City Hall promotes event of environmental awareness through education art
The implementation of the São Sebastião Waste Management Plan led to 03 municipal schools the Municipal Waste Recovery Pilot Project, developing, since that, study modules with teachers, students and employees of municipal schools. In the next October 30th the module "An artistic solution to the waste issue" will be presented at the Municipal Theater.
Artistic presentations of the Experimental Orchestra of Percussion were scheduled, governed by musician Duda Neves with the participation of the singer Juliana Tenucci and interpretation of the Bumba-meu-boi show, as well as an exhibition of visual arts. All activities have been presented by the students.
The main aspect was the use of reusable materials in the manufacture of instruments and clothing have been used in presentations. In the workshops the students could develop through art a series of activities geared towards environmental awareness about the principle of the 3 R's (reduce, reuse and recycle).
The program also included a recital of poetry with the waste issue theme, the release of the Waste Recovery Park and the presence of plastic artist Alvaro Bahamondes.
