Successful start of the MBT in Saint François

For one week the employees of EcoServ company in Guadeloupe have now been working with success on the implementation of the Faber-Ambra technology on the Caribbean island.

After EcoServ extinguished first the fire on the waste dump, the Faber-AMBRA system is now being implemented on the landfill. After such a short time the citizens and the commune can already see considerable improvements of the situation.

There are two homogenization drums from EcoServ company in operation, and they have also available the required equipment. All other technical facilities come from Guadeloupe.

The purpose is a mechanical-biological pre-treatment of the municipal solid wastes. So the commune avoids the negative effects of conventionally deposited waste masses, such as bad smell, vermin, leachate and also space requirements.

With the implementation of the MBT (mechanical-biological treatment) the municipality of Saint François optimize their waste management, before they will have to transport the waste masses at a later date to the central waste incineration plant in Point-à-Pitre which is still in the planning stage.
